Spay/Neuter Surgery Packages
Spay and neuter services are available to pet owners who meet our low-income criteria. Please go to Income Eligibility Requirements to see if you qualify.
SPAY/NEUTER SURGERY PACKAGES FOR CATS
(New prices effective 6/1/20)
In order to be eligible to be spayed/neutered at RCAC cats must be:
- At least 12 weeks old
- 6 years of age or younger
- Over 3 pounds
All the below listed cat spay/neuter surgery prices include:
- Routine spay/neuter
- Pre-surgical exam
- Rabies vaccination
- FVRCP vaccination
- E-collar
TIER 1 Prices for Cat Surgeries
To qualify, recipient must be a current college student, serving in the military, a military veteran, or a current recipient of public assistance (including NYS Temporary Assistance, Food Stamps, HEAP, Medicaid, Unemployment, SSDI, SSI)
Cat Neuter (males)–$76
Cat Spay (females) — $96
TIER 2 Prices for Cat Surgeries
To qualify recipient must be current retiree collecting social security or have an annual income of $40,000 or less as indicated on the 1040 form of your most recent tax return.
Cat Neuter (males) —$101

Additional charges that may apply for cat spay/neuter patients:
- For pregnant females: $30
- For descended testicles: Inguinal: $35 Abdominal: $50
- For reducible umbilical hernia repair: $25
Additional services offered with feline spay/neuter surgery:
- Revolution application: $13
- Feline Leukemia/Feline Immunodeficiency Virus testing: $31
- Microchip: $40
- Nail Trim: $10
- Droncit injection: $10
- Cardboard Cat Carrier: $7
All cats scheduled for surgery MUST arrive in a secure carrier. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of surgery (and the standard 25% rescheduling fee).

In order to be eligible to be spayed/neutered at RCAC all dogs must be:
- At least 12 weeks old
- 6 years of age or younger
- Over 3 pounds
- Under 80 pounds
All the below listed dog spay/neuter surgery prices include:
- Rountine spay/neuter surgery
- Pre-surgical exam
- Rabies vaccination
- Distemper/parvo (DHP/PV) vaccination
- Take home medication (for patients old enough and big enough)
- E-collar
TIER 1 Prices for Dog Surgeries
To qualify recipient must be current college student, serving in the military, a military veteran, or a current recipient of public assistance (including NYS Temporary Assistance, Food Stamps, HEAP, Medicaid, Unemployment, SSDI, SSI)
